The "Boulevard Jacqumain" project

Boulevard Jacqmain is a long-term research and exhibition project initiated by Olivia Ardui and based on the novel of Brussels surrealist writer Irène Hamoir. A temporary collective of artists was brought together in this first phase of the project. Through surrealist meet-ups and experimental readings, they explored Brussels history and artistic past in the shade of Hamoir’s stories.
Irène Hamoir, la Breugel de la littérature et surréaliste de la première heure, dont les textes ont maintes fois été publiés par Marcel Mariën dans Les Lèvres Nues, continue à fasciner les jeunes.
